  3. I'm meandered over here from Restaurant Widow and have been eagerly reading the archives for the past few days. Now that I'm all caught up I feel like I should delurk and tell you how much I've enjoyed everything so far. I made the emergency chocolate cake and then had to make another one because my husband and I ate more than half of it before it even cooled down. I'm going to make the Oatmeal Toasting Bread as my first bread making attempt. You do an amazing job of sharing your experiences with us, thank you so much. I'm looking forward to reading all about the upcoming lamb season and I'm already trying to think of some D names in case you ask for suggestions!

  5. Happy New Year Farmgirl. May 2007 bring you and all your family and furry friends as much joy as you bring to us each day.
DDD and his "charges" are just the best. Great photo.

  6. What a lovely donkey. Here in Ireland, not so long ago, every farmer had a working donkey. In the last 10 years they have become quite a rarity, and now they are very expensive (€800 for a foal) and sought after.

  8. Now if there were two donkeys to watch over the flock.. DDD needs a girlfriend. Then you could increase a new herd of friends...

There is a donkey that lives about a half mile down the road.. his name is "friendly".. and i understand he will use you as a leaning post when you visit. He LOVES his visitors!

    You need more donkey pals.

December 2015 update: Hi! For some reason I can't figure out, Blogger hasn't been letting me leave comments on my own blog (!) for the last several months, so I've been unable to respond to your comments and questions. My apologies for any inconvenience! You're always welcome to email me: farmgirlfare AT gmail DOT com.

Hi! Thanks for visiting Farmgirl Fare and taking the time to write. While I'm not always able to reply to every comment, I receive and enjoy reading them all.

Your feedback is greatly appreciated, and I especially love hearing about your experiences with my recipes. Comments on older posts are always welcome!

Please note that I moderate comments, so if I'm away from the computer it may be a while before yours appears.

I try my best to answer all questions, though sometimes it takes me a few days. And sometimes, I'm sorry to say, they fall through the cracks, and for that I sincerely apologize.

I look forward to hearing from you and hope you enjoy your e-visits to our farm!
