Freshly Baked Oatmeal Toasting Bread

(Oh my gosh, I cannot believe it has been a whole year and I still haven't posted the recipe for this bread. Oops. I have all the photos and everything. Sorry. I guess I'd better not mention that I'm hoping to post a different sandwich bread recipe in the next week.)

I am sooo jealous! I planted late this year (par for the course lately), and all I have are a few small green orbs.

I have a ceramic colander exactly that color!

Can you please post some more pictures of your pretty hands (you have such beautiful hands!) or that guy's cute butt?

Now that's just mean.

I can stand the donkey, I can stand the kitties, I can stand the cute little lambies. I can stand the beans, delicious when raw. I can even stand the fields of new-mown hay.

But tomatoes? Gorgeous, warm-in-the-sun ripe tomatoes? I can't stand it.

Sigh.

;-)

Nothing brings life back closer to normal than sun ripened tomatoes and yours are gorgeous! I made the BB breakfast bars Sat. (in all this heat-am I nuts or something)- anyhow my DH doesn't like almond, so I used a tablespoon of lemonade concentrate and it was spectacular - DH liked it & I took some to work yesterday & got a rousing thumbs up. Thanks for the great recipe :-) Tina

I just picked my first real tomatoes yesterday in DC. I had a purple cherokee with dinner last night...my first growing foray into heirlooms. I have about 20 more of different hybrids that are awaiting me tonight with Hellman's mayo, bread, salt and pepper. Your pics are fantastic!

OOOOOOOh. Those are pretty delectable looking. I'm going to stir up some of that Summer in a Bowl, and please add me to the list of requesters for that oatmeal bread.

Bread is unequivocally the food of the gods... ;-)

Can't I taste just one of those beauties? I do love tomatoes and can eat them like fruit, which I believe they are?

I just posted about out cherry and grape tomatoes grown on our deck...check them out, but don't expect to see anything as fine as yours.:)
