  1. Awww! Dan is still adorable (even if he should have slept in his hut)

  2. Who's scritchin' who there??? Is Dan scratching his chin, or is Bear getting a back rub? They look like they're the best of friends!

  3. I LOVE the Dan & Bear duo--even if they are a little bit camera shy;) Both are so very handsome and this picture is making my background today. Thank you!

  4. Poor bedraggled Dan. My horses do the same thing. They will insist on standing out in the rain. Or, my draft horse stands in the middle of the loafing shed during a downpour and because of his sheer size can intimidate everyone else from coming in. We need to work on the concept of sharing with that fellow. Plans for a second loafing shed are underway.

  5. I think my dogs need a donkey and the garden would probably like some donkey droppings.

  6. Hey there! Those two are to funny for words.
Was noticing Dan's hooves -- looks like he's in need of a clipping. Does he tolerate that for the horseshoe guy?

  7. Is Dan using the Bear as a Blotter/Towel?

Do they make raincoats for donkeys? 'Cause I think that Dan would look cool in a khaki trench-style number.

Kind of Humphrey Bogart as Sam Spade-ish. Donkey Noir.

  8. Really how can Dan get any more adorable? I would have gone out there trying to put a raincoat on him...silly donkey.

  9. I'm with Linda (the person)...Dan-o needs a rain poncho with a big "D" on the back.

December 2015 update: Hi! For some reason I can't figure out, Blogger hasn't been letting me leave comments on my own blog (!) for the last several months, so I've been unable to respond to your comments and questions. My apologies for any inconvenience! You're always welcome to email me: farmgirlfare AT gmail DOT com.

Hi! Thanks for visiting Farmgirl Fare and taking the time to write. While I'm not always able to reply to every comment, I receive and enjoy reading them all.

Your feedback is greatly appreciated, and I especially love hearing about your experiences with my recipes. Comments on older posts are always welcome!

Please note that I moderate comments, so if I'm away from the computer it may be a while before yours appears.

I try my best to answer all questions, though sometimes it takes me a few days. And sometimes, I'm sorry to say, they fall through the cracks, and for that I sincerely apologize.

I look forward to hearing from you and hope you enjoy your e-visits to our farm!
